As we near the beginning of our 2015 season, we’re excited to introduce you to the guides who are ready to serve your family or your group this summer!

Brittany close upWe welcome Brittany Wilson to her 1st summer with Journey Quest. Growing up in the middle of the forest in Divide Colorado, it was only natural for her to continue to love to the things she grew up doing. Such as backpacking, hiking, running, camping, fishing, and almost anything that involves the outdoors and/or people. In May of 2016, she will graduate from Colorado Mesa University with a BS in Nursing. She serves in her community in a variety ways. First as an EMT, second as a Tutor at CMU for nursing, biology, and psychology, and last but certainly not least as a Young Life (YL) leader! She has lead for 3.5 years at Grand Junction High School. “I love being goofy and weird” Brittany says, “with crazy high school kids.” Over the years as a leader she has gone to Ethiopia to serve at the Young Life camp for the local teenagers and worked in several orphanages.

Some interesting facts about Brittany are that she loves adventure and animals. Sometimes though, animals love her too much, as she was nearly trampled by a momma moose and calf. Let’s not forget to mention the pack of wild hyenas that almost ate her for lunch. Ask her about these stories and they will surely bring either a smile or a tear. This summer she is looking forward to learning new things (I’ve only been rafting once ever), meeting new people, and gaining friendships while sharing Christ with people. She loves seeing how Jesus can transform peoples’ lives.
