We Value You as a Leader

We understand that you know your group better than we do and we want our trip to fit into the overall plans for your group. We will contact you beforehand to discuss spiritual content, trip details, and how we can best be praying for your group. We welcome your involvement but also want to give you a chance to relax and enjoy the time with your group.

Some leaders prefer to have our staff provide the programming so they have a chance to interact with their group. Others choose to provide their own spiritual content and have our staff come alongside and support them. With either option we will fully support you as the leader.

We value good communication and strive to ensure your trip runs smoothly and you are not taken by surprise.

In the weeks and months leading up to your trip, please keep us posted with any prayer requests, significant changes to your group size, or if any of your participants have special needs.

Booking Your Trip

Call us at 719-276-2227 to check availability, get your questions answered, and to book your trip. We’ll work with you to select the best trip for your group and get you the best group pricing!

Single-Day Trips

For most group trips, we charge a flat $200 deposit to reserve your trip. You can pay this over the phone with a card or we can send you an invoice for payment by check. The balance will be due upon arrival.

Overnight Trips

When you book your trip, we’ll send you a contract with a minimum and maximum group size. Your deposit will be 25% of the trip total, based on your minimum number, and you’ll have 30 days to return your deposit with your signed contract to confirm your trip. The balance will be due upon arrival.

You can adjust your contracted numbers at any time prior to 45 days before your trip, after which time you’ll be responsible for the minimum number.

Getting the Word Out

Once your trip is booked, it’s time to start publicizing the trip and inviting participants. 

  • Personal invitations are likely the most effective since they help participants know that you really want them to come!
  • Create a Facebook event or group that you can share. This can also be a good place to communicate important details, such as travel plans, reminders, etc.
  • Play videos and talk about your trip at your group events.
  • Hang posters and print flyers to send home to parents.

Registering Participants

We recommend that you set appropriate deadlines for participants to register and pay their deposit and trip balance. This will help participants be more committed to coming, and will help you to keep a fairly accurate count of your group size.

Release Forms

A completed and signed waiver is required for every person before participating in any Journey Quest activity. Once your trip is booked, Journey Quest will send you a personalized link to our online waiver system. Please share this link with each participant, including your adult leaders and parents/guardians for minors. 

Equipment List / What-to-Bring

Please distribute the appropriate What-to-Bring List to each participant and/or their parents.

Arriving at Journey Quest

The day is finally here! Our staff will be preparing for your arrival and will want to get your group checked-in, geared-up, on the river or trail as soon as possible.

Please make every effort to arrive on time, at the correct location, and have your balance payment ready according to your agreement.
