FAQ’s
Have another question?
What Ages are Your Trips Appropriate For?
Our single-day rafting trips in Bighorn Canyon are appropriate for girls in Pathfinder program with enough adult participation. Our overnight trips are appropriate for American Heritage Girls Pioneer and Patriot programs. We’ll customize a trip with appropriate challenge level for the age-group you bring.
Because of AHG’s insurance regulations, some of the younger AHG girls that have come are unable to participate in our Whitewater Rafting activities. In these cases we typically substitute Inflatable Kayaking on a lake instead of the river.
Which AHG Badges Can We Earn?
Journey Quest is able to help you meet requirements for several AHG Badges, such as:
- Whitewater Rafting/Kayaking
- Rock Climbing
- Outdoor Cooking
Many of these badges may require more than you’ll be able to accomplish in a single trip, but if there is something you would like us to focus on for your troop just let us know and we’ll customize your trip to meet those requirements.
Do Your Staff Undergo Background Checks?
Yes, each of Journey Quest’s guides goes through a staff application process which includes a criminal background check, at least three references, and a thorough interview.
How is Journey Quest affiliated with AHG?
Journey Quest is an independent, non-profit organization and is not directly affiliated with American Heritage Girls. We invite you to learn more about us to determine whether one of Journey Quest’s trips is right for your troop:

Do you offer discounts for AHG families?
Yes, individual AHG members receive a $10/person discount for their whole family! This applies to any of our single-day rafting, rock-climbing, or inflatable kayaking trip. Just mention that you have a daughter in American Heritage Girls when you book your trip!
