As we near the beginning of our 2016 season, we’re excited to introduce you to the guides who are ready to serve your family or your group this summer!
Clay McCombe proudly hails from southern Colorado Springs. He is currently a junior at THE Colorado Mesa University majoring in Psychology with double minors in Criminal Justice and Addictions. He has been drumming his whole life and is a part of CMU’s drum line. He is also a member of his church’s worship team and drums in a small folk band with his friends. Clay says he loves frisbee with all of his heart and initiates many games of ultimate on the weekends. He also admits to a slight obsession with the game of Monopoly (or as he usually calls it, “Business”).
This is Clay’s 2nd summer working with Journey Quest. He says, “In working at Journey Quest, God has taught me that He is bigger than all my fears, and that we are indeed called to step outside of our comfort zones, just like Jesus did.” Clay believes that this summer is going to be one for the record books. He plans on eating some tasty waves, hiking Everest with Steve Reiff, and sending a few 5.15’s. He can’t wait to “see y’all in Cotopaxi! Holla!”
