As we near the beginning of our 2013 season, we’re excited to introduce you to the guides who are ready to serve your family or your group this summer!

Josh Shannon is from Colorado Springs and has been involved with Vessels for Honor Rafting Co. since a family friend, Dwight Grant, started the company. So it was only natural that when Josh was old enough he joined the team and became a guide for VFH. 2013 will be his 6th season guiding on the Arkansas River, and his second season with Journey Quest. In December, Josh graduated from Colorado State University in Pueblo with a Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Leadership and Recreation Management and is quite happy to finally be done with college.

Josh currently works with the Navigators at Glen Eyrie, a castle turned Christian Retreat Center just outside of Colorado Springs. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder, and qualified as a trip-leader, trainer, and Royal Gorge guide with Journey Quest. Josh served as a Young-Life leader the past few years and has a tremendous heart for seeing young people meet Christ through outdoor adventures.
