This is the perfect introductory rafting trip for families with young children! We put in 9 miles upstream of our Texas Creek headquarters and raft a milder stretch of Bighorn Sheep Canyon back down to our private landing. There are several fun class II-II+ rapids on this stretch, including Treehouse, Cotopaxi, Warmup, and Rock Shop and a great place to stop and swim the Ark! We usually spend between 2 to 2 1/2 hours for this rafting adventure, depending on water levels.

Like all our trips, the purpose of this trip is much more than just whitewater rafting. Our guides seek opportunities to use even a couple hours together on the river to share about the love and grace that is found in Jesus Christ. Whether you’re already a Christ-follower or if you’ve never come to know Him we would love to have the opportunity to share about what He’s done in our lives and encourage you to take the next step in faith – whether that be increasing in love for Him or beginning a lifelong relationship with Jesus. We seek to do this in a non-threatening, conversational way using stories, sharing spiritual analogies, and taking time to pray for you and your specific needs. To learn more about how and why we do this, see About Us and Why Journey Quest?
