June 1, 2020 Update: We are now open! Contact us now to book your adventure!
- To help reduce potential spread of COVID-19, we are performing daily symptom screening for our staff, limiting the capacity of our buildings and vehicles, and cleaning or sanitizing our equipment, restrooms, and frequently touched surfaces.
- State guidelines recommend using a mask or face covering when in our offices or while riding in our shuttle vehicles (masks are not required while on the river or other outdoor activities where adequate distancing can be maintained).
- If you are are in a high-risk population or if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, chills / shaking, diarrhea, or a loss of taste or smell, we ask that you do not come at this time and instead postpone your trip to a later date.
- Please contact us if you have questions. We hope to see you this summer!
May 1, 2020 Update: We are working with the Fremont County Department of Public Health & Environment and we expect to open for trips beginning June 1, 2020. Please contact us with any questions about early summer trips.
April 1, 2020 Update: We have received a few questions about how the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak may affect families and groups who are planning a trip to Journey Quest this summer. The situation seems to change almost every hour, so at this point it is difficult to predict next week, much less three to six months down the road. That said, we can say with confidence that God is still on His throne, that none of this has caught Him by surprise, and that He cares for each and every one of us!
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
With this in mind, we continue to trust and pray that the major risk will pass by the time we open for the summer, and we are looking forward to an amazing summer!
Postponing Trips or Cancellations: If you need to postpone your trip, we will be happy to apply your deposit to other dates later in the summer or even next year. If you need to cancel and receive a refund, please let us know.
What we’re doing now: We are not currently running trips, but expect to be open by mid-May as normal. During the off-season Journey Quest’s already work from home, so there haven’t been many changes to the way we normally work. We are still working on the improvements we are making to our Texas Creek location and setting up a new camping location for our overnight groups. We plan to begin guide training in on schedule so that even if guests are not able to come yet, by the time they are we will have our guides ready to go!
We will continue to closely monitor the situation. We expect that in the next couple of months there will be a lot learned about this virus and how to prevent its spread, and we will implement any precautions we can to protect you while you’re here at Journey Quest.
As always, feel free to contact us with any questions. We are truly looking forward to seeing you this summer!
