As we near the beginning of our 2013 season, we’re excited to introduce you to the guides who are ready to serve your family or your group this summer!
Amy Hill grew up in the great northern land of Zeeland, Michigan. After completing a year of school for Interior Architecture, she followed God’s leading to Cadre Academy in Conway, Arkansas. Cadre is “a leadership academy that equips young people in local church ministry with a global perspective” and expects each student “to be one who is going after God with all of your heart.” Amy graduated with an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies in the spring of 2012, but has stayed in Conway since then.
Amy absolutely loves being outside, hanging out with people, laughing, and having a good time — something she’ll get a lot of opportunity to do as a Journey Quest guide. She confesses that she’s never held a paying job that wasn’t at a coffee shop and has owned a Turtle named Franklin for 12 years. We’re excited Amy is joining our team and can’t wait to see how God will use her gifts and talents to grow His kingdom!
BTW: Amy, if you’re reading this: Paddling upriver from Conway to Cotopaxi will really be a lot of work. You might want to reconsider and use a car instead. 😉
